Nut Meal/Flour

Almond Meal (or any kind of nut of your choice) can be very pricey at the stores.  To make your own, use a food processor and blend the nut  until desired consistency (sometimes, I like a chunkier meal and sometimes I like it more of a flour consistency).  Although I’ve used pecans, macadamias and walnuts to make flour, my go-to is almonds.  I keep a container with already prepared flour in my pantry.

  1. funny, i made some this morning, trying to make nut butter, but only got as far as the meal for some reason… dangerouly delicious:))

  2. How long will the almond flour keep? I'm just getting into this eating lifestyle, so don't have that many recipes for the almond flour yet.

      My guess would be indefinitely as it is just ground up nuts…to be safe, I would say in an airtight container no longer than a year.
