Horseradish Steak

If I go to a restaurant and order a filet, I often ask for horseradish.  Seven times out of ten, they will bring me a horseradish mixed with a ranch dressing type base.  Annoying!!  So, I got to the point where I would specifically ask for “Horseradish, no Ranch!”.  This was not even understood at a lot of places as the mayonnaise-based version was already pre-mixed.  So, we are back to basics, right?

steak of your choice
sea salt and ground pepper
fresh horseradish, peeled and grated

Heat your grill or grilling pan to a high heat. Season steak on both sides with salt and pepper. Grill steak to preferred doneness. Let rest for 5 minutes.

Grate fresh horseradish on top. Serve with prepared sides.

Enjoy!
