Instant Pot Cali Dogs

Feeling a little Hollywood today? Enjoy this twist on hot dog ingredients for a change of pace. The creaminess of the avocado and goat cheese are delicious on your dog, and the bean sprouts add a little welcomed crunch!

From the pages of The “I Love My Instant Pot” 5-Ingredient Recipe Book, these Cali Dogs come out of the Vegetarian chapter. Not vegetarian? No worries. Beef dogs cook for the same amount of time, so follow the recipe with your favorite choice! Low-carb? Keto? Paleo? Just use friendly buns that fit your dietary needs, use lettuce wraps, or just go without. The dog and toppings are the stars here.

 

 

 

 

Ingredients

  • • 2 cups water
  • • 8 meat-free, plant-based hot dogs
  • • 8 hot dog buns
  • • 1⁄2 cup alfalfa sprouts
  • • 1 medium avocado, peeled, pitted, and diced
  • • 1⁄2 cup crumbled goat cheese

Directions

1. Pour water into the Instant Pot. Add hot dogs. Lock lid.
2. Press the Manual or Pressure Cook button and adjust time to 0 minutes. When timer beeps, quick-release pressure until float valve drops. Unlock lid.
3. Assemble hot dogs by placing them in buns and topping with remaining ingredients. Serve warm.
