Lobster and Asparagus
Day 11 of 31: Back to Basics
They had a package of two lobster tails in a pack at Trader Joe’s for a great price, so I picked some up. Lobster tails are succulent, low in calories and high in Omega-3 fatty acids.
Bring a pot of water to a boil and add your lobster. I boiled mine for four minutes (this depends on the size of your lobster tails ~ mine were medium). The meat should be opaque throughout.
With asparagus, I am very picky with how I prep them before steaming.
1. Toward the end, find the natural weak point and snap off the tough end.
2. I use a peeler and peel the asparagus up about an inch or two from bottom (the break point).
3. Simply steam your asparagus. Season with salt. Put a pat of butter or ghee on top.
Note: Peeling the asparagus will make them so tender.
Plate your lobster and asparagus with a little melted butter or ghee.
Enjoy!
